Ladders – To Climb or not to Climb
I have been wanting to build a ladder for quite some time now. I haven’t been lucky enough to find an old used one at garage/auction sales…so it was time to finally build my own. I bought all the supplies at our local building supply store. I used 1″ dowels and one pine board for the sides which I cut down to the correct size. I did have help with some of the cutting.
We drilled the holes all the way through and used nails to keep the dowels in place. After some sanding, priming, more sanding, painting and finally some lacquer the ladder was finished. It just took a couple hours to complete! I’m thinking I should make a few more of these for gifts or try to sell them.
Here is the finished ladder in all its glory!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
